Product Profile

Function

VKL11B RCCB and VKL11B+ RCCB is appearance design, compact structure, good reliability, and high safety. They are universal residual current circuit breaker.

Residual current circuit breaker type B are suitable for domestic as well as industrial applications, where are used frequency inverters, PV plant, EV chargers and similar elements. B type provides a sensitivity to residual AC, pulsating and smooth DC current, together with high frequencies up to 1 kHz.

Residual current circuit breaker type B+ meet full type B feature , with additional tripping values are defined up to 20KHZ and they are below 420mA.

They are based on electronic technology, which brings advantages of more accurate measuring of residual current and, as a consequence, reduction of unwanted tripping. These devices also do not suffer with magnetization of the tripping unit.

Selection

Detectable wave form

Type Bimage.png

Tripping is ensured for sinusoidal AC residual currents pulsed DC residual currents, alternating residual sinusoidal currents up to 1000Hz, pulsating direct residual currents and for smooth direct residual currents, whether applied suddenly or increasing slowly.

Type B+image.png

Meet full type B feature , with additional tripping values are defined up to 20KHZ and they are below 420mA.

Approvals and certificates :UKCA,CE

Tripping sensitivity

30mA - additional protection against direct contact.

100mA - co-ordinated with the earth system according to the formula IΔn<50/R, to provide protection against indirect contacts;

300mA - protection against indirect contacts, as well as fire hazard.

Tripping time

Instantaneous

It ensures instantaneous tripping(without time-delay).

Short time delay

Selective (time delay)

Applications

Typical applications that are vulnerable to smooth DC residual currents:

- Frequency converters with a three-phase connection

- Medical equipment such as X-ray equipment or CT machines

- Photovoltaic or UPS systems

- Connection points (wall boxes, charging stations) for electric vehicles

- Elevator controllers

- Pipeline trace heating

- Test setups in laboratories

- Construction sites in accordance with BGI 608 information leaflet (Electronic equipment on construction sites)

- Charging stations for battery-powered forklift trucks

- Cranes of all kinds

- Mixing plants if relevant loads are connected

- Variable-speed machine tools, such as milling and grinding machines or lathes
